Domain Contact Information Requirements
Due to updated compliance requirements under the ICANN Registration Data Policy and the EU NIS2 Directive, domain registrars are increasing enforcement of accurate and verifiable domain contact information.
This means that all domain names must have complete and valid registrant (owner) contact details, including:
- Full registrant name or organisation
- Valid email address
- Phone number in international format (e.g. +61.123456789)
If domain contact details are incomplete or cannot be verified, registrars may request that the information be updated. In some cases, domains may be subject to restrictions until the details are corrected.
What this means for you
If any of your domains have incomplete or outdated registrant contact information, you may receive a notification requesting an update.
